Last Friday night Maddie had her 13th birthday party. This was a significant event for two resons. First, she's entering her teen years and secondly, she finally has enough friends to invite over for a party after living her for 2 years.
Maddie invited 8 of her friends from school. Katie, Savannah, ShaeLynn, Kailin, Danielle, Maddie G., Callie and Allison. The girls arrived and 'hung out' for the first part of the evening. Then they ate pizza, breadsticks and soda---yum! After that they played a game where we put a bunch of old makeup on the table and one girl would blindfold herself and then apply makeup to the other girls face. It was hilarious. The girls decided to do a scavenger hunt out in the neighborhood and then it was time for the hot tub. cake and ice cream came next. Maddie had her favorite white cake with white frosting. They opened presents and The rest of the evening was spent watching a movie and then talking until 2am! In the morning Owen went out for donuts and the girls started getting picked up. It was loads of fun and the girls pretty much took care of themselves.
It's fun having a 13 year old in the house!

Wow, 13 already. I remember when Maddy was just old enough to ride Space Mountain at Disneyland. Time flies.
Tell Maddie, that I am still totally impressed how good her manners are and how polite she is. Especially for a 13 year old!!!!
